Now Lets You Create To-Do Lists Using Reminders in Google Calendar

If you use Google Calendar to schedule your daily tasks, you might always thought about being able to add to-do lists to it directly. Well, not any more, because Google listened to you and rolling an update to it’s calendar app allowing you to add to-do lists as reminders in the app itself from now on. Up to now, the app only supported viewing of reminders. To add one, either you had to go to other services like Google Keep or Google Inbox. From now on , you can do that from your Calendar App itself.
You might already aware that Google is segregating it’s services and improving features independently. Google Photos, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Plus got isolated from each other without effecting the integration. With one Gmail account, you can use all of these and synchronize information among seamlessly. At first, this would cause some trouble for some people because they got used to use Photos from Google Plus, Calendar From Gmail and so on. Even though you find these options missing options due to isolation, individually each service is getting better with design and new options.
The new Google Inbox, a whole new look of Gmail, has reminders built in, it isn’t a single place for all your events. Even though you can stay on top of your trips, purchases, bills etc from Inbox more effectively than before, to get a look of a calendar, you have to go to Calendar App again. If you are a desktop user and Inbox didn’t activate for you, you need to ask someone to send you an invite The problem is for some people, combining events with emails would be a little bit of fuzzy. Even though if you are okay with having reminders along with your mails, not having them on the much needed Calendar App doesn’t make sense.
Seconding the same thing, Google said,
“You might already create calendar entries to remind you to call the doctor or pick up groceries on the way home. But while those entries come and go, Reminders stick with you over time so you can track them until they are actually done. If a Reminder isn’t completed, it will appear at the top of your Calendar the next day. And the next. When you do finally call the doctor or pick up those necessities, just swipe the Reminder away … and you’re onto the next to-do.”
So this direct ability to add to-do lists from calendar gives a clear view of what you want to do and is much needed. You can add a reminder using “+” button or using your voice on Google Now. Pretty easy. Reminders added will appear on your App reminding what you want to do until they are done.
You can actually do somethings with reminders in your calendar app. The new Google Calendar App provides information such as your contacts and content from Google Knowledge graph while adding a reminder, just like in Google Inbox. So, if you want to call your friend on your birthday and send him a cake to his address, you can do that pretty easily.

Reminders will integrate among other Google services too. The reminders which were created from Google Keep, Inbox and Google Now would also appear in your new calendar app to make your life easier.
