LG has just announced that it will release a Lollipop-powered flip phone called Wine Smart in various markets across the world. The device is a rebranded LG Gentle, which was initially launched in South Korea. LG mentions that the Wine Smart is designed for a “generation of users who are more accustomed to the feel of flip phones.”
The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with a 3.2-inch display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor. Additionally, the Wine Smart features 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 3-megapixel rear camera, and a VGA front camera. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, and is fuelled by a 1,700mAh battery.
According to LG, the Wine Smart will make its international debut later in August. The first countries to get the phone will be the France, UK, Spain, Italy, Poland, Japan, and Kazakhstan.
The price of the LG Wine Smart hasn’t been announced, but in its home country, the handset is sold for around $170.
