Google has just launched an update to the Play Games app for Android that allows users to record and share their gameplay with others. You can capture your gameplay in 480p or 720p. To start recording, simply open the Play Games app on your Android device, select any game you’d like to play, and then tap the ‘record’ button.
You also have an option of adding in a video of yourself playing and commenting via the front-facing camera and microphone. Once you’ve recorded your gameplay, you can quickly edit the video, and upload it to YouTube.
This new feature is being rolled out in the US and UK first, but will be available in more countries later. This update is similar to the one that Google added to its YouTube Gaming app earlier in October, except that Google Play Games does not yet have live streaming gameplay features.
